I don't really like soaps, but hearing their themes brings back memories. My Mom and two older sisters watched them religiously when we were growing up. They liked all the ABC ones, All My Children, One Life to Live, and General Hospital. the sad part is, I could tune into one of those, and probably pick it back up within days, even though it's been years since I've seen them.

I used to be into passions, but I got over it

young and restless, bold and beautiful, as th eworld turns, and guiding light. I tried to tape the cbs soaps once and get in to th esoaps on nbc, like days of our lives, and whatever other soaps are on there, but i gave that up pretty quick. I cccan't catch up on who's who in soaps like I use to, unless the soap is brand new. I don't know if it's because they have so many people in them now, or if it's just my age.

Passions is getting terrible reviews. I've heard that if they don't start doing something with it by moving the story lines along, and resolving things that have been going on for way too long, then they're going to cancel it.

Post 14 by maroon five (I'm going for the prolific poster awards!) on Saturday, 20-Jan-2007 23:29:24

That's just like any soap isn't it? The story lines drag on for so! long. Sometimes it's a good thing, but I don't find it interesting when you can go away, and come back 4 months later, and find out, that the same thing is happening, from when you left it. I like it if the line is interesting, but if it's going on to long, and it isn't, then I think they should just move it along a bit.

Oh I agree. I understand the purpose of holding out on a story line, but Passions does overdo it a little too much. Like you said, I could stop watching for quite some time, and when I resume watching, I havent' missed a thing.

Okay, for anyone who is a Passions fan, I read yesterday, that NBC is going to cancel the show in August of this year. Another network, like SoapNet, may pick it up, but they're not sure.

AMC and GH! Sometimes, I'll keep up with OLTL.

Have y'all ever gone to the tvmegasite? It is great! Scoops and spoilers, and the best daily transcripts, or short daily recaps!

The only one I watch is Guiding Light.
